What Is This Section of My Site About?
I went to Miami to learn about copywriting in February of 2005. One thing I learned was that when you are not sure of exactly what to write, just start. So at the outset I don't have a particular plan of how to present this section, so I will let it develop and come back and see if there is anything else that is important to add. There is one other thing I would add about that training. It will not take you long to realize I need more practice.
Some Background About This Section:
I have a strong entrepreneurial curiousity and belief system. However, I have also had a measure of success in the corporate structured world. I didn't like the structure but loved the experience and professional development if that makes any sense. I use entrepreneurial interest to create small business interests where I can test business principles that I can then teach clients who are often running large companies. For example, if you look at www.healthyandsweet.com you will notice a couple of things. First there is on line credit card processing. I set that up and I am now able to advise others on how to do that. What is maybe not so obvious is that I took that product through label design, packaging and production. Another product I promote on a different site is one where I actually worked with manufacturer on formulation including taste and smell. Are those experiences useful? Absolutely.
Other examples of work that I have done on my own sites include: web site design, contact form set up with autoresponders, setting up a blog on my own server, setting up domain names and new sites and more. All of these skills are very useful because I can advise clients on what works. I also recognize the limitations. If a company wanted to set up an on line drugstore with 30,000 products, there is technology that would have to be used that I personally cannot do. However I can select the experts who should do that work. So in summary, my sites are incubators for skills that have a wider application and value.
Now from a personal value building perspective, in the past four years or so, I recognized that there were a growing group of people who were rapidly accelerating in areas of marketing and business development that the traditional corporate trained executive would not likely be exposed to or appreciate. However, considering my personal interest in the tools of the Internet as reflected by my starting an Internet Service Provider company in 1995 there was something that i was able to recognize in this growing group of information marketers and home based business millionaires. Now had I really followed through on some ideas in the late 90's I would likely be discussing thoughts with a note taker commissioned to write my next book. We would be talking on my yacht or private jet.
I have yet to be good at following through on my ideas although I am working on strenghtening that skill set. So, this section is about ideas that have moved off the note pad and have take on some substance. Largely unfullfilled substance but never the less substance. A couple of them just may be home runs. At the same time there are a couple home runs waiting to happen in previous sections already presented. This time the ideas with the most potential are being worked until they prove to me they are bad ideas or they show their stars. In the summer of 2005 I learned the principle behind ideas and I am now more respectful of them..particularly ones that come during images of final results of those ideas already being here.
