Blogging for Profits Issue No.5: How To Prioritize Information In Your Blog for Maximum Profits
The goal of your blog is to further fuel your revenue and profits. Do not major in minors. Start with the most important revenue and profit drivers of your business.
Who are the 20% of your customers that account for 80% of your sales?
What do they buy?
What do they buy the most of?
What are 20% of product or service line that accounts for 80% of your sales dollars?
What items or services account for 80% of your gross profit?
If there was only one product or service that is regularly purchased that you could sell today, what would it be?
Is there a new product or service that you want the marketplace to know about now because of its profit potential?
Look at www.stevereports.com and the right margin under categories. Notice there are different sections depending on the topic. For another example, look at www.eye-care.us and notice the sections for information on discount lens, color lens, etc. No matter what your business, you can offer information based on the categories of products or services you offer.
Most companies have a web site. Most companies ignore their web site and if they don't, they often waste a lot of money promoting their site with pay per click campaigns and by paying search engine optimization experts to get them top positioning in the search engines.
Please understand I advocate pay per click campaigns and search engine optimization experts when done right. More on those items in a later lesson. For now I would like you to recall what we discussed in an previous lesson. Remember new blog posts are found by the blog directories and search engines very quickly upon release? So when you write information in your blog and include a link to your web site where the reader can find more information, you are automatically helping your website positioning in the search engines.
To maximize your web site positioning, prioritize the content based on the interests of you your target audience. Prioritize the information that you provide. Not every post needs to be an A item, but most of what you write needs to capture the attention of your A priority audience and drive them to your A priority product or service offering.
"Bloging For Profits" means using this wonderful technology to maximize your business performance by addressing the information your most valuable customers/clients are looking for.
In the next lesson discover the one technique that almost nobody is using that will significantly increase your revenue and profits and it all starts with your blog.
